Portable expresses joy as he gets recognized in Canada, bags award

Controversial singer Portable has received official recognition from the Canadian government, despite being embroiled in several controversies.

Nigerian singer Portable took to Instagram to share his excitement about arriving in Canada, gratefully acknowledging the Canadian government and the city of Brampton for honoring him with the Corporation of the City of Brampton award.

Finally, Portable Omolalomi ZAZUU in Canada, I just want to say thank you to the Canadian government and the city of Brampton for the Corporation of the City of Brampton award.

In September, Nigerian singer Portable announced that he had obtained a 10-year Canadian working permit, enthusiastically sharing the news and highlighting his ability to perform shows in the country for the next decade. Giving thanks, Portable credited God for the opportunity, declaring “whoever has God has everything,” and expressing gratitude for the divine guidance that made this achievement possible.

Portable’s 10-year Canadian working permit comes as a remarkable turnaround, two years after he was dropped from a Canadian event lineup due to controversy surrounding his online behavior, including the abrupt firing of his manager and team members, which prompted an event consultant to remove him from the performance roster.

The event consultant dropped Portable from the Canadian show due to his uncontrollable behavior and took further action by writing to Canadian immigration authorities to recommend denial of his visa, citing concerns over the singer’s erratic conduct.

Despite controversies surrounding his career, Portable has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent, evidenced by his prestigious award for “Best New Act of the Year” in the United States. Gratefully accepting the honor, Portable acknowledged it as validation that he’s on the right path.
